The Labour Party's presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his appeal to Nigerians not to cast their votes for political candidates based on their ethnicity or religion.
Obi made the announcement during a rally for his presidential bid on Saturday in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
The former governor of Anambra State urged voters to reject the big political parties, who had been claiming to have the means to seize or hold onto power.
He emphasized the difficulties the nation and Nigerians face while urging the populace to reject the parties with structures and retake control of the government.
"Nigerians lack food, and the youth are unemployed.
"Today, traveling anyplace in Nigeria is not secure. Those who claim to have party structures are to blame for all of these issues. But Nigeria is suffering because of these structures.

"I want to vote these institutions out next month with your help.
"We will reunite and safeguard Nigeria. We want Nigeria to take pride in its national identity.
"We'll hand over a safe Nigeria. Nigerians shouldn't be included in the IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp, according to us. In your own country, we don't want you to be a slave.
"We're going to rule this nation out of reverence for God. You'll get jobs from us. Nigeria will transition from a consumer nation to a producer nation.
"These guys incessantly boasted about their buildings. However, they are doing nothing. Youth unemployment and lack of production are obstacles, but we will overcome them, he declared.
He continued by saying that because he and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, were successful businesspeople before entering politics, they were well-positioned to revive the nation's economy.
Additionally, if elected president of Nigeria, he pledged to combat corruption and insecurity. (NAN)
