A Senator speaking to Akwa Ibom Northwest, Chris Ekpenyong, has pushed for Igbo administration in 2023.
Ekpeyong said Igbo administration would help extend national solidarity and give individuals of the Southeast a feeling of having a place in Nigeria.
Talking in Uyo, the state capital, Ekpenyong said all zones of the nation merit a chance to create Nigeria's leader.
He said the Southeast ought to be permitted to create Nigeria's leader like different districts of the nation.
As per Ekpenyong: "My supplication is that we ought to permit an Igbo man to turn into the following leader of Nigeria.
"On the off chance that the North and the South West have created a president, for what reason can't the Southeast be permitted to become leader of Nigeria?
"Igbo administration is the way that will prompt developing our national solidarity. It will mollify the sentiment of dissatisfaction among the Igbo. It will likewise give them a feeling of having a place. No segment has the syndication of ability to lead Nigeria."
Ekpenyong's comment comes when the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai had said the South should deliver Nigeria's next president.
