A Catholic minister, Rev. Fr. Cyriacus Onunkwo, has been murdered after he was abducted by some shooters in Orlu, Imo State.
a source told our journalist on Sunday that the killed minister was grabbed in his auto on Friday and was taken to Omumma, in the Oru East Local Government Area of the state, where his inert body was found on Saturday.
As indicated by the source, the minister was returning home to arrange the burial service of his dad when he was kidnapped at gunpoint
The source stated, "The cleric, Rev. Fr. Cyriacus Onunkwo, who hailed from Osina, in the Ideato North LGA, and worked in Orlu see, was on a mission. He returned home to plan for the internment of his dad, who kicked the bucket a week ago.
"A few criminals stole him at Nkwito Junction, Amaifeke Orlu, at around 7 pm on September 1, 2017.
"The cleric kicked the bucket in their guardianship and his dad is still in a funeral home. Individuals are not any more perplexed of God."
The state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, who affirmed the advancement, depicted it as troubling.
Ezike stated, "The summon's State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department has assumed control over the issue."
